If there is a way to prevent it from getting sucked in like using a prefilter type foam or mesh or pantyhose, I would do that. I would not turn off the power heads if possible.

When I uncovered my tank I saw my RBTA next to my return then realized it had split and I now have 2.

Its actually moving pretty fast. I turned off the one that it was semi attached to so I'm gonna wait and see if it goes passed then turn it back on

Got him, he was on that powerhead pretty good. I let him go behind the rocks, hopefully he steers clear of them from now on. I guess he's moving around bc there's no light right? He usually doesn't move

Well if it has been a couple of days and you don't see a movement in phos then you don't have enough..I use more than required. I run 2 dual reactors all with 1cup each. I switch a container every other week or when I start noticing crap building up on the pellets. I said to go slow initially but you haven't seen a change.

Yeah, I'll probably add a little more tonight after work. I gotta get my water ready for the big water change as well. I'm gonna have to siphon everything out right?

Is it normal for my tank to smell a little bit now? I just noticed it when I got home, kinda has a "ocean" smell. But not the good kind if ya know what I mean

Well, the lights are scheduled to come on at 11. I'll be at work til 7 unfortunately so I won't be able to see the result til later today. Here's to hoping for the best!!!
