Dan's 150 Rebuild

Tank does not look bad at all. My girlfriend was referring to the red coralline algae all over my rocks. Phewwww. Just got done siphoning out some cyano and stringy brown algae. Everything looks great. My corals are all okay I think. A few polyps have melted but nothing crazy. The real test is going to be in a few days from now.

Tomorrow I plan on removing the Biopellets completely(they're not running, I just haven't moved em), putting phosguard into the BP reactor while adding more, and putting the carbon back into the BRS reactor. Also cleaning my powerheads again. Ughhh I need a beer

Take it slow when introducing so many different things, your tank is still trying to stabilize and you've had it on a roller coaster of different medias.

If the BP were establsied... DO NOT OPEN THE CONTAINER IN THE HOUSE... Sulfur smell will knock you out

I plan to, I'm only going to add another half cup I think.

Doubt it was established but wow good to know! I had no idea that could happen Lol good looking out man!

Beer for you vodka for the tank.:D
I agree with Brandon take it slow you should be OK .... just do a couple good water changes over the next couple of days to get rid of as much crap as possible.

Will do.

One of my female Lyretail anthias died and its literally wedged between a rock. I can't get her out. Does this pose a problem leaving her in there?

I was tugging on her with a pair of twizzers and she wouldn't budge. I ripped her tail off :/ and its a base rock so I can't take that out either

Its never ending with this tank. Now after swapping my pellets for phosguard and putting my carbon back in the BRS reactor. My tank is getting really cloudy.

I cleaned out the biopellet reactor really good before putting it back thru my system(it stunk soooo bad!) I have them barely tumbling in the BP reactor. Think its bc of the new phosguard pellets added? I rinsed them off but I didn't go crazy with them.

I got a frag of fruit loops from ASD a week ago and they haven't opened at all yet. the algae problem isn't helping but what can I do to try and help it. I'd hate to lose a $20 frag and have never seen it open
