Dan's 150 Rebuild

Did another big water change last night and siphoned out a lot more. Its starting to come around. Have cyano in one small spot but I keep siphoning it up. Just battling brown stringy algae still on my rocks, back glass and overflows. I also used Revive on several of my zoas so hopefully that helps them out

Okay I just set up my QT tank with old tank water and a filter that's been sitting in my sump for awhile. Got a powerhead, and heater as well. Picked up Cupramine(copper) and Paraguard(parasites). And of course when i was picking up this stuff, I grabbed a couple fish as well :/ Lol I hate myself.

Anyways. When should I dose copper and paraguard? Right away or wait a lil bit?

Dan mandarin fish need pods and lots of them. Or can be trained to eat frozen from what I hear that's not easy do you have a big pod population?

From what my sump looks like, yes there's a lot of them. I'm gonna try and get it to eat frozen and/or pellets while in QT. If not, maybe I'll buy some pods to repopulate my DT

I have found it best with mandarins if you can get them to eat cyclopeeze or however you spell it. They rarely eat much frozen. I have had good results with the freeze dried and frozen cyclops. I keep 3 mandarins 1 mated pair and a moyers

Cyclopeeze, got it. Does it have to be freeze dried? I think I have frozen cubes of cyclopeeze in the freezer.
