Dan's Nuvo 16g

Just buy the bulbs from their site lol... they are fairly cheap. I think like 10$? And I personally never plugged in the moonlights lol. I just ran the actinics until lights out

Edit: If you buy 4 bulbs or more at a time they are only 6.99$ lol

Yeah that makes sense too lol
A par38 would still work for this tank
Yeah it probably would, I'm just worried about coverage. The beam works light on there now doesn't cover the whole tank so I dunno

I just got my screen lid from BRS for this tank and I'm kinda not happy with it. First off, the lid doesn't even cover the whole tank. I wouldn't even call it a lid actually. I mean I guess it'll have to work but I just figured if it was meant for this tank it would cover the whole thing.

Here's some new pics with added rock. Not sold on the scape but it'll work.

Sadly enough, that's exactly how that mesh lid is supposed to fit. That's how the glass top fits it too. Either a little room in the front, or back, or a TINY bit on either side if placed dead center lol

Edit: Scape looks good. For a cool idea, try taking some rock to a local mason and having him cut them into flat shelf pieces so that you can stack it in all kinds of cool designs :p

Yeah I kinda figured that with the lid Lol oh well, it'll work.

I thought about doing shelf rock to be honest Lol there r 2 flat pieces in there, not sure if u can see em from the pic

It's fairly easy to do in such a small tank lol. If I ever decide to stop using the 16 as a Xenia grow out tank, I'll probably do shelf rock in there myself. Turn it into a nice little zoa garden :)!

I bought a used Nuvo 16 that also didn't come with the glass top. I ended up making my own screen/mesh top. I had to buy the screen from BRS (they're the only place with white/clear mesh) but Home Depot has the framing parts. Pretty cheap and you can size it to any dimension. Mine covers the whole top.

Yeah I had made one of those for my old 90. It does the job. I may look into that again if this doesn't work out for any reason.

Just picked up 2 new additions. Got a Red Banded hi fin goby and a red handed pistol shrimp(my guess is its a candy cane)

As soon as I put em both in, my clowns went after em Lol the shrimp burrowed as soon as he hit the sand.

I hope I get to see him often, he's so small lol

If it's the shrimp you wish to see chances are you will not be thrilled. The one in my sons tank I only catch a glimpse of every few days. And that's from far. Usually all I see is the antenna which will usually touch the goby it's paired with.

Guess only time will tell! Lol

I had a pair in that 8 gallon and never seen the shrimp I thought it was dead and gone the only way I new it wasn't was the constantly changing sand bed. Man those suckers can dig.
