Didn't all the rock come from you existing tank? If that's the case you won't see a cycle. The water won't add any bacteria but the rock from there is all you would need.
Very true, but the bacteria will die without an ammonia source. So it depends on how long the tank is without ammonia, if it will support the fish or not. You could add the fish and monitor ammonia closely.

I think I'm gonna let it go for a few days and test daily to see. If there's no ammonia or nitrites visible, I'll put em in and monitor

With no fish it won't go up. Or am I crazy.
I think the rock from your existing system which the two clown live in now would have enough bacteria to Handel them two.

Don't worry about it, if your tests show zero now aim to do very frequent water changes to keep everything steady and at the same time do your hypo. It will all work out. Any buildup should be diluted on almost daily basis with water changes(I do it that way in QT with 1G a day life is easy).

Yeah I plan on doing 1g water changes every week. I'm gonna wait til after i put the clowns in to lower the salinity.

You have to do your hypo before adding inverts..... after that even peppermint shrimp will be huge. I bought three at the last invert buy two went in my son's nano 24G and one in my 120...the two in the nano are great the one in the big tank obviously just gets lost. So in a nano you can go for little things.

So I've been looking at lights bc I'm not sure if the light I have is good enough to support anemones. What would you guys recommend? Is an AI Nano overkill? Maybe a Kessil? I have no experience with any of these lights so please help me out :)

In other news, I tested the tank again today. Ammo is between 0-.25ppm and my nitrates have gone up to 5ppm. Still no nitrites
