I have the opportunity to buy a used Tunze osmolator about 2years old or a new JBJ ATO. Which should I go with? Also apex lite or reefkeeper lite plus?

Make sure it is the newer one. I've read the older style that used the brackets is a PITA. The newer style with the magnet mount that holds the float switch should be much better. But either way, I vote for the osmolator. I've been looking for one myself.

i have the JBJ ato with brackets. magnets would be a lot nicer, but it still works pretty well. and im not sure if those controllers have an ATO option, if so i would go that way for the most control. This way you can shut off pumps if water gets too low and not have to worry about burning them out.

+1. I have two of them - one for each of my tanks. Never had one get stuck, never had a tank run out of water - been on vacation many many times and always had peace of mind.

Service is flawless if you ever have a problem or need help - Roger @Tunze in Austin TX is the man.
