Dee's Happy Place

I don’t think an Anemone in a nano is a good idea, if it dies it will wipe out your tank.

Stopped at Absolutely Fish and as I was making a deal on selling my harvested red macro, I saw captive bred Court Jesters!! (remember mine from liveaquaria came in sad and didn't make it and although they replaced the money, they wouldn't send a new one to replace) I got it as part of the trade.

I knew that the Royal Gramma might be a problem since he made the middle of the tank his territory... he started when the bag was acclimated in the tank. He chased it around and has finally stopped, leaving it alone but now I also see a bite mark on it's side :( I started putting the PimaFix into the tank just to make sure doesn't get infected.

My husband calls him Anchovie

I had a Royal Gramma who was territorial. He was the third fish to go into the tank.

BTW your photo doesn't show up on my PC or iphone

Here you go

I haven't seen him eat yet. I had the kid feed and was looking at another one when he caught this one. I asked if he ate and he said yes but....

My wife has a pair of (best guess on spelling)
Mocavinchis they were very orange a few months ago. But now only there lips are orange. But they are a beautiful pair.

It is always sad when you lose a fish...
Joker wasn't looking right every now and then but eating. I did a scrubbing of hair algae and next day he was dead in the intake, stuck to the new Marineland filter medium I had gotten. :blue:
Next day, clown stopped eating... she is looking less stressed today and looked to eat but didn't.
Hate this part of having live fish
Sigh

It's been a while since I've been here and a few things have happened.

My clown stopped eating after I lost my joker. She showed no signs of illness other then not eating and after a week, still looked fat and healthy. I first tried a freshwater dip and then finally decided to do a worming.

First I had to do something with my featherduster. I set up a small 2 1/2 gallon tank with live sand and sponge filter (back of my mind had the idea that maybe I could keep it for dwarf seahorses) After digging around for a while, I found the tube but he didn't make the transfer :(

As I got ready to put in the PraziPro, I see this tiny string of white poo caught in the macro (must have a great clean up crew because kept checking for worm signs) After the first dosing, she started eating again. Yay! Second dose to get those eggs. Couple weeks later, see stringy poo coming out of her so next gave General Cure soaked food for two weeks. They are looking great and I hope I got them finally.
And what is this?! Little featherduster fingers!!! He must have shed his tube and gone deep enough under the sand to survive the wormings!!

I'm still fighting the hair algae. I know it is because I overfeed but my nitrates and ammonia never get high so I deal with it. Brushing with water changes. I read about using peroxide but that kinda makes me nervous. I tried putting phosphate pads in which was helping but then realized my macro stopped growing. Duh! I was waiting on getting new snails until the worming was done. And of course, now they are not in stock. Petkiosk.com

Someone mentioned that ghost shrimp will eat hair algae which would be an interesting addition to tank but I think maybe my Gramma may not allow them. I might try it anyway. The sexy shrimp stay away from him.
Funny thing, I keep putting this larger shell with pink coraline in one spot on the live rock to get the coraline there but also because it looks cool in that bare spot and he keeps throwing it off. It's a pretty big shell too.

Whispers... and little tank is still set up. Husband hasn't told me to get rid of it...he has actually not only gotten used to it but helped me with an experimental device I was working on for it.
