scape finally done!! changed it up a bit to be different. wife said she likes it. she gets the last say hahahaha !! put rocks in (very very gently). thank God that I'm stronger than before, because these rock structures were no joke !! I used Marco reef cement and let it cure 24 hours before lifting them up. instead of 3 islands, we ended up doing 2 and a tiny one (we call it aruba). sand in and now just waiting for everything to clear up !! going to use dr tims with 85degree temp, salinity at 1.015. ill be monitoring ammonia with the seneye. ill wait a week then add some chromis depending on results.

How's the seneye working for you? I was looking into getting it also. but having a hard time finding much need for it after the initial cycle and light setup. I'm thinking of saving the money for an apex later on.
I'm dosing microbacter7 daily and haven't tested any levels yet. I may decide to go fishless for a while. just add a cleanup crew soon

I bought this off a fellow reefer a few years ago. I was using it for the par meter function. I got new slides for it so now its watching my ammonia. id say its really good to have, but I wouldn't get a brand new one just for cycling. you can simply use the hang on suction cup ammonia things from seachem. what sucks is you have to plug it into a laptop or desktop, because it uses a standard USB. my Apex already has the PH probe and temp.

so yesterday I started building my controller board using the boards that the tank came in. I think they shipped it in MDF boards. so I cut up some pieces and painted it. today I drilled the holes for the wiring, ended up breaking the drill bit from the hole dozer!! made a HD run and got a new one. and so here is my new board all nice and neat :)

so after about week, I decided to finally run my skimmer and break it in. I have 2 clowns in the sump (might give to a friend) and 2 chromis in the main tank. so far so good!! I'll give the skimmer a few days and tune it over the weekend. Red Sea RSK900 skimmer.

took advantage of some black Friday deals!! I've had the Avast cal rx since last year, but never bought all the necessary products needed to run it. also got some test kits, food, and new tubing for the DOS. can't wait to set this baby up and dial it in!

whas goodie my reef family !!!!! so...after 16 months....the final pieces to the reefer 750 xxl v3 have arrived!!!!!! the 4 Red Sea LED 90s !! already setup and running on the reefbeat app, but I just installed 2 on the tank for now until I finish building my screen top. I also have some fish in QT that I picked up from Salgado on Friday. My wife bought me all of those fish for my bday!!! (dec 15). picked up 3 corals from him too. I also have some corals that I got from Mark at ultimate back on BF sitting in the main tank and the 50g. here's a few pics. next step..setting up cal reactor. my plan is to have the fish in the 750 by NYE. they are all eating and looking healthy.
