Detritus in Calurpa

I added some Calurpa to my sump. I have it on 24/7 lighting. Over the past few days, I'm noticing some detritus build up. Is that normal or should I be doing something to prevent that build up?

Well, it's probably not a good thing to have any detritus building up. Is there a way you can stick a power head in your sump, direct it at your caulpera to keep the detritus in suspension?

You may not need to run a powerhead full time. Try using it to blow off the macro algae, and then remove it. Just getting rid of the dirt once and awhile may be all you need.
