DI Bypass on Startup

I'm looking to see what other people are using to bypass their DI unit on start-up for the first couple minutes. When I start my RO unit, the TDS is high (80 or so) for the first couple minutes. So what I've been doing to extend the DI is to manually pull out the tubing and flush the RO for about five minutes. I then put the tubing back into the DI, and make as much water as I can within the day....non-stop.

I want to make this a valve operation (turn one or two valves and done), and would like to see how others divert their RO water from the DI unit. If you can, please post pictures or tell me exactly how you are doing it. Thanks.

Yes, I do, and I still get elevated TDS for the first few minutes after I shut this off. I think it's water that has permeated the membrane while sitting without pressure, and just needs to be flushed out on the "clean" side. The membrane flush kit flushes out the "dirty" side of the membrane.

I was thinking about buying another one of these just to use the Y connecter and one valve, and picking up a second value. I would use this set-up to flush the "clean" side on start up.

I have a new one you can have if you want it.

Jim, thanks for the offer, but I'm going to go the route Brian suggests. After reading the reviews on the BRS site, I've added one of these to my BRS shopping list. Really looks like this is the way to go:
