Diamond goby jumping

Howdy,

So I've never had luck with gobies as they always jump and die. I've always had a lid but this time I made what I thought was the perfect lid..

I got one yesterday and he jumped overnight. Any ideas as to why I have no luck?

Just amazing how they're able to get out.

I scoured the net this morning, and found some water marks from where he escaped and it's like did he jump the entire perimeter until he made it or, am I just that unlucky that he found what may be the only spot

My wife found one she liked at reefco today, told her I need to revisit the screen lid.. again first

No I gave up as much as I loved them I moved on

I just finished fixing my lid. You can't fit a piece of paper thru the gaps

You should be good they get spooked easy so be careful with quick bright lights like turning a room light on when tank lights out I actually lost 4 the 4th one smacked his head on the acrylic top too hard they tend to jump when all lights are out or sudden actions
