The Furan Dips not a cure all but a good start.In my experience you can not overdose with it. It treats bacterial diseases and is affective against cyno.
Use a cup or two of tank water and toss in a full packet or capsule, mix well, toss in the affected frags and ether use a power head or blow it hard with a turkey blaster.
If the affected polyps seem to be covered, take a Q-Tip and gently rub each polyp to remove any cyno or layer of dead membrane. Light rinse and return to tank. 10-20 min is a good dip time, just watch the temp so the dip stays warm. You can use the same dip 2-3 times in a day, just make a new batch each day.
Parasites- Look close at the closed polyps for critters. If to be on the safe side dip with ReVive Coral Cleaner or I prefer Flat Worm Exit 4 drops per cup of water, set in ether dip for a few minutes and then swoosh the frag around to shake loose any possible critters. Examine what comes off, copapods are not a big deal, Nudibranchs, worms, spiders or snails are a problem and if you find them, well a full tank treatment may be called for. I have done that safely for three different systems but lets wait and see what you find first.
Freash water dips are NOT RECOMMENDED, too brutal and Lugals= usless on parasites, I watched a nudi swim around for a hour in a 3 times strong solution.
