I'm switching my 75gal softie tank over to a 110gal softie tank. Just thought someone might get some ideas from mine when they build theirs.
Mine is a bit overkill on the lumber cause I'm always standing on the stand to work in there, so I built the stand 8inches wider all the way around.

And finally after 2 days, almost finished. Just have to paint some detail in there somewhere.

Looks fantastic Mike. I really like all the detail work you've put into it. Looks like you could park your truck on that thing.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys.I'll post more pics when it's finished. It's taking a long timr to paint the detail on the crown dental moulding. It took me 3 hours today to paint the dental moulding(every other tooth) blue. I'm trying to make it look like a wave. When I got that far, it brought out the detail real nice. So now I'm trying to see what other detail would look good painted blue. I can use some good ideas on the rest of the detail painting after I post pics. of the next steps.
Thanks again Matt and Matt.

Holy Guacamole, Mike! That is absolutely stunning! Very beautiful work. Someone I know just got a 180g, any tips on how I . . . . I mean "he" may be able to make something that nice himself?

Mat(panman). I had to build it that strong since the opening in the front is over 5 feet. I made (Routed) all the moulding myself including the dental. The only thing I bought was part of the 4 step crown.

Ok, now I'm even more impressed. I was going to direct John to Lowes to buy the decorative molding parts, but holy patient routing batman, you routed that yourself?

You know, with the talent in this place we could all have stand by mikem and tanks by richt. Both are works of talent.. Beautiful does not describe how nice that stand came out.. The open front with no middle bar for easy access to sump and such.. EXCELLENT!!

I know who I am calling for my next stand and tank!

Hey everyone. If you're still an NJRC member by the next holiday party, I might be bored with this setup by then and maybe it'll be up for the raffle.
