Ed, this is up my alley. The problem is that the alley is filled with too many projects right now. But I am confident that you can do this. This is not that complicated. It just looks that way because this guy included every little step in the process.....very detailed and well made DIY video. You can do this. Just take it one step at a time.

I like the ingenuity of this DIY, that's for sure! It looks pretty simple and very well detailed.

If I were to try this, the only thing I might have done differently is using Weldon to glue the acrylic pieces together instead of super glue gel. I'd just feel safer that it wasn't going to break off and fall into the tank with Weldon. Not saying the super glue won't work, just that the Weldon will be a better option for that part of the build.
