Dosing Live Phyto

Should the skimmer be turned off while dosing live phyto? I'm dosing to feed the pods I added as well as try to avoid the ugly stage. I'm thinking I should and if so, how long should it stay off?

not sure if its the right way.. but i just shut off return pump when dosing the phyto

I don't think it matters if it's daily, if you're doing a lot once a week or every few days , it might help

I used to add during my powerheads were off for feeding.
