Downsize options

I really want to downsize my 29g biocube to something alot smaller. Ive spent alot of time looking at pico tanks, and id like some suggestions.

The only thing I dont want to compromise and let go of my two gold assessors.

So do you guys have any ideas? I dont have much room moneywise to go crazy on a new set up, but ill try to incorporate the best ideas for something efficient and still my little piece of the ocean.

We had our 20g tall for a while. Get the tank on sale at petco so 20$ for the tank. We ran it HOB with a HOB fuge and HOB skimmer. We kept that tank running very smoothly for a while and should be big enough for the two fish and corals. Stand wise you have choices because resting weight is not too insane (200 pounds all in as a rough estimate) so you should be able to reach into it.

A 10 gallon tank is going to be an easy/cheap choice,12 inch T5 will work nicely, or a smaller cube. I looked at all the Fluval tanks for my son and unmothballed my 24G AP because I just wasn't saving anything. It was cheaper to retrofit the hood than to buy a whole new setup. I know this is an annoying question but how much do you think you will save by downsizing as far as space and money?

I will second both setups. I ran a 10gal with a aquaclear HOB filter for my son. 18"t5 quad from odyssea. I was able to grow anything anywhere. No skimmer on that one. Only water changes.

His next tank was a 20h with 10g sump. All the fixins in the sump. And a 24"x4 current T5. Again I grew anything anywhere with it.

none. Its not about space or money, its just a personal choice :).

Another choice that I thought about doing once upon a time was a custom tank ...saw one that was 5-7 gallons maybe...was about 12-18 inches long but only 6x6 ish wide...person had pipe fish in it I believe. Been a long time there are some other nano boards do you go on them?
