FWIW, it was 43 degrees at the platforms last weekend. (Thank god for good drysuits).

hopefully it will be a bit warmer in early May.

I still want to try to go then - it will be a fun day for Daddy and his Daughter.

If there is a big enough interest I'd be willing to put together a trip in July or August as well as a local Ocean dive.

Ironically the quarry holds the water temp late and many times diving in late October and November is warmer than June and July.

Just got back from a weekend at Dutch Springs. Water was 66 at the platform yesterday. Thanks to some heavy overnight rains it was 63 today.

I was in a 5mm full suit with a 5mm jacket and it was warm. Gloves and hoods were optional.

We had a blast hand feeding the fishies today.

Yup we completed our last dive this morning.

The fishies have no fear of divers up there. They are literally less than a foot from your face waiting for food. We were catching crayfish from under the rocks and holding them up for the bass to eat.

I definitely need to invest in a underwater camera for next time.

I am definitely thinking of going back at least for 1 more weekend out there. Hopefully even a few more. I am definitely seeing an NJRC trip out there.

Thanks John. I am definitely up for a few dives this year. The water really wasn't that cold. Matthew dove with a 7mm farmer John suit with no hood or gloves and he was fine.

I'll see if I can get some pics up from this weekend. Not sure how many were taken but I know a few at least.

hey guys I have a one piece 7mm wetsuit for sale. Good shape. My butt was too fat to begin with when I got a few years ago and it was only used a couple of time. I have to check but Imm sure its a XL .

Dalia and I just finished our Advanced Open Water in Cabo san Lucas... (We're flying home tomorrow) and look forward to some local diving too. The water here was a little warmer... 69 to 70. but down at 90' it was around 63. we didn't see much in the way of reefs here.. but there are thousands of fish. I'll try to post some pictures when we return. we did see an octopus and a seahorse. both were really cool.

if we do a NJRC trip out to Dutch Springs we should contact them and see if they have any special rates or programs....
