Ecotech Radion tripping GFCI?

I excitedly picked up my Radion from Johnathan(Howze) yesterday afternoon(Thanks for picking it up!). I hung it up & plugged it into my APEX. My Apex is hooked up to an Out of Wall GFCI. The Radion kept tripping the GFCI. I unhooked the Apex and plugged the Radion by itself into the GFCI and it still tripped it. Apex works fine plugged in without the GFCI.
Any electrical guys chime in?!

MAY BE - Johnathan SWITCH the Radion with some cheep LED inside... and did not re-wire them correctly??

If you have another GFCI in your house, plug the light in there and see if it trips that GFCI. Sometimes the GFCI’s are themselves faulty. If the other GFCI also trips, then you’ve got a short/ground fault/overload problem with that fixture. Send it back!

While David's solution is more likely, I'd say try Paul's solution as it's more practical.

This is very common with lights and gfci's. I had the same issue along with many other people. It's the way gfci are designed to work and the way the power is drawn thru. The differential is enough to trip the gfci.

Not saying you don't have an issue, but this is very common. It's also not a fault of the apex. I've run every kind of set up tests. With/ without apex, direct, different gfci's -in wall/ out of wall and it's the same issue.

I just tried 2 other GFCI's and still the same problem. I tried calling ecotech but they are only open till 5

edit: john @ ecotech PM'd me and said to call him! hes sending me a new powersupply
