Had a great time at the meeting today. I was very impressed with Alex’s store as well as his selection & prices. I managed to pick up some great stuff and meet lots of people [emoji4]

Dave the conch ( named after our own @DangerDave who graciously gifted it to me)

Wall hammer (gorgeous and a great deal)

Torch (got it the instant I saw it)

Montipora (green w/ pink polyps & red on red, Alex says they’ll grow together eventually)

Candy cane ( these are ridiculously bright, almost glowing)

And last but definitely not Least, my new favorite thing in the tank, a maxima clam.

The tank is looking the best it ever has and I’m excited to see it start to grow out more.

Try killing it out of the tank to avoid spreading.

I’ve seen 2 anemones on the frag. I was going to cut the coral off the plug anyways so that’ll remove one but I will inject the other with boiling lime juice tomorrow while I cut the base off so it’ll be out of the tank. Thanks for the tip!

Hey bud, sorry over looked the aptashia .... was a bit hectic yesterday trying to accomdate everyone. Keep me posted in that matter, and ya definately do removal outside of the tank.

It's all good. I've never gotten to deal with aiptasia before so it's kinda fun. I should be able to take care of it today.

Moved the pieces into a more permanent position and took care of those aptasia on the candy cane with some boiling lime juice. We shall see.

Updated FTS:

I still have to take the candy cane off the plug but didn’t want to mess with it even more today.

Christmas came early! This skimmer was originally supposed to arrive on the 23rd but came a few days early.

There was a broken piece that I had to super glue back together. Seems to be holding fine now.

Took another trip over to @OiA today and picked up some cool stuff with the birthday $$ that was burning a hole in my pocket.

My first “stick” SPS in this tank, a Montipora digitada and a stylopora. Both are already showing great PE from only a few hours in the tank.

Jack O’ lantern lepto, kinda dull currently but should color up soon. Sorry for the kinda crappy pic, it’s pretty far back in the tank.

An absolutely stunning trachyphyllia. Might move him even further into this cave in the future.

Updated Full Tank Shot, it’s really filling in nicely now.

Edit: I also draped a very dark blue blackout curtain behind the tank to get a sense of a background on the tank. I think I like it and plan on cleaning the back glass and finding a more permanent solution soon.

I did not. I had a good time watching the stream but didn’t see anything I was wiling to pay that price for and then shipping. I’ve never actually ordered anything online before and it’d take something really special to get me to.

looks good bro! Suggestion on that trachy probably best on sand so the flesh wont get caught by the rock and possibly tear it.

Yes sir . I was going to treat the other piece and apparently I didn't have to anymore I think the cleaner shrimp cleaned it out... go figured lol. I hope you are enjoying the new addition!
