I just wanted to let everyone know. We have 2 DeSimone girls that are in Hollywood. They made through the auditions in Orlando. The Orlando show starts the 20th.

That show is a guilty pleasure, I love watching it. I had a clients daughter make it to Hollywood last year, but she did not make it through.

How exciting! I can't wait to see that episode now! Of course I'll have to wait until February since I'll be out of town when it airs.

So do tell... how does ANYONE get picked to sing in front of the judges out of the bazillions that actually show up to try out?! I've always been curious how that crazy process works and how they could separate the wheat from the chaff when there are sooooo many!

The show is actually quite misleading on who winds up in front of the judges. I have had a friend go through it and I have had a friend who worked for the show (production assistant). Essentially they show you the big stadium scenes where you go and sing in front of people from the show (not the judges) and get a yes or no. If it is a yes then you are again interviewed with other production people (how do you think they know the back stories of these people) and from there you are approved to go in front of the judges. Not all those thousands of people wind up in front of the judges.

Oh it definitely seems clear to me that not all of those people could pass by the judges. The judges would be CRAZY after dealing with that and it would probably take WEEEEEEEKS to get through them all! Thanks for the insight. Very interesting. Makes sense based on what you see of people.

Those were your girls! they were great My wife and I loved them - they looked so happy - Hope they do well they have our vote!
