Alright, so, this is where I ask the terrible questions of true geek points.

Who has been to DragonCon and who is going in, what is it, a week, two weeks?

And (since I can't go to that this year), who will be heading up to Tuxedo for NYRF?

I guess I only rate half a point, I have no clue about DragonCon. I have been to Tuxedo for the NYRF, but not for a long time. When is the fair this year??

August 4th to September 23.

Come on, who can resist Dextre Tripp's Danger Theater (and I quote, "Watch some idiot do stupid tricks for your amusement!")?

I'm checking out the list right now. Crystal Sticks (they do those devil sticks things) is a fun crew to hang out with. And Try Out Toys is always cool to hang out with, especially if Michael Glenn and his wife, Jennifer are there. Okay, okay, so here is when you realize I am totally a child of the 80s, remember that stuff David Bowie was doing in Labyrinth with the crystal spheres? Well, that wasn't really David Bowie doing that (it was Michael Moschen), but people can do it. And Michael Glenn? Forget it. He's amazing. I've even had he pleasure of seeing him sphereplay (contact juggle, whatever you want to call it) with wood spheres on fire!

But DragonCon is always a blast. Picture a massive, sc-fi/fantasy convention alone with hundreds of parties, panels, and concerts running throughout a four day stretch. It's the largest science fiction and fantasy convention in the southeast, having grown to the point that it officially span two hotels, possibly three this year (unofficially, just about every hotel within ten miles of the convention usually ends up booked solid that weekend). And we're not talking little hotels. We're talking the Marriot Marquis, the Hyatt Regency, and the Hilton of downtown Atlanta!
