Favorite LFS in New Jersey

Sea Level Aquarium has a nice setup and great potential plus they're 2 minutes from my house :).

Other than those I typically head to NY for stores - Coral Theory and Diamonds of the Reef are great stores out in NY.

AF is very nice but very $$$$
R4 and FH are weak would not waste the trip IMO

My favorite store is Elos have not been to AO yet

IMO most if not all of the stores in NJ have weak points. I don't know of one AIO store that has everything you need. AO usually has a good selection of fish and corals but on the dry side not so much. Trop has nice fish usually but IMO corals are a bit overpriced. AF is probably the best stock store I've been to but prices are crazy for pretty much everything.

If I had to choose I would combine the dry and equipment section from Absolutly Fish and hidden reef and mix it with the fish/coral and service/knowledge from Aquatic obsession and put smack dab in the middle of the state.

I'll pop in for South Jersey. This store has a nice sized fish room and their selection is usually stocked well and the fish are typically healthy looking. I've had great luck with my livestock purchases for here. Their corals are just OK. Usually overpriced, but occationally they'll have a nice piece for a good price. Plus, they've got a decent stock of inverts at reasonable prices. Drygoods are reasonably priced.

I went to the Elos store last week, looked great but getting pricing seemed very difficult.

Forgot to mention I have been to OG II a couple of times. Seemed nice basic fish selection. I dont think they carry same level of fish as Elos, AF, or AO. Have not been to Aquaotic obsessions yet though.

I like JB tropical fish. Its a mom and pop place (owner is ancient). He doesn't really do corals but when something comes in its decently priced(all coral frags are the same price, mainly softies, zoa, and shrooms), but if there is a fish you want he can get it in. Also wont sell a fish that doesn't eat.

Captivating Coral is a great store. Their prices on dry goods always seem to match online prices and if not, they aren't far off.

Hey I have something to contribute here! :)

Fengs new store is just a few blocks away from me. He's not officially open yet, he's still setting up the store. That being said, he was nice enough to help me out with some water and gave me a quick tour. His main tank looks awesome and his frag tanks are pretty well stocked and his prices seemed really good (compared to what I'm seeing online, note - I am a noob). I don't think he will be selling much dry goods by the looks of it. He said wait another week and he'll be open, but he's selling now to his former customers and friends so call him if you need anything.

He does have some good prices, but I have to bite my tongue when I go in there. He told me I would never have a successful tank.

I normally head to Ocean Gallery II
When I am in the area, I go to Tropaquarium

This weekend I went to Elos Aquastudio, that has to be one of my new favorite places

Yeah. He is very old school and stuck in his ways. Anytime I mention new stuff or ways of doing things he looks at me like I'm crazy.
