Feeding caviar?

Bought some caviar and wanted to feed the tank with it. Question is do you rinse it first? It has salt in the ingredient and salmon egg that's all it says. Was thinking of rinsing first because it's so salty . Didn't know if it would effect the tank.

I would love to see replies. My parents shipped two cans of red caviar from overseas and it doesn't taste right. I feel really bad about tossing it. Maybe I can feed it to the fish. ??? ::)

i want to say that Paul B does it all the time. Goes to an asian market to get salmon eggs to feed. fish go nuts over them. I have to do a search...

Yeah i couldn't wait cause i'm like a little kid wit the tank. I put like 7 of the salmon eggs in a glass and filled it with water. It looked like you put a tablespoon of salt in 8 oz of water and mixed it, it was white. Kept rinsing them off until water was clear and then tried it. The fish did go a little nutty over them. They are pretty big but, my clowns brought them to the anem and chewed some pieces of them. The small cleaner wrass ate them, my tomini ate one, and all the anthias loved them! Looks like i'll be treating them a few times a week with it. The jar was 10$ and it should last a while

lol $10 a jar - where are you getting this? When I was out in seattle the seafood markets had the eggs in on ice. Not sure where to get them around locally though on the cheap. Maybe a wegmans or trader joes?
