Here is the Original thread from Paul B. that give me the idea to do something similar...
so, i was bored over the weekend, and while stopping by in RedSand, i saw Feng have some CopperBand Butterfly fish... so i decided to get them and trying to make my version of feeding station, at that time, i have no idea, how i am going to made and what the would looks like...
image copy from the WEB... my camera picture did not come out good...
so, after some thinking, i decided to try the dollar store first... cause they would have all kinds of house hold stuffs with crazy cheap prices ( better choice then Home Depot in this case). after pick and choice for about 1 hour, here is what i got and i think they MAY worked...
Items from Dollar Tree store ( total paid: $2 + tax )
First, i want to test it to make sure it is not IRON and would not RUST!!
D***, the ring border sticked to the magnet like crazy!! so, i guess i would have to cut it out!!
Showing the comparison side by side
Tool to cut
and ofcourse the OLD MAN's most trust-able gadget!!! my eye glass...
more tool
cutting...
the ring is OUT!
cut the cap and the mesh to smaller size, so they would fit.
GLUE
glue applied
let it dried for 12 hours...
adding a frag plug/plate so it would be sink to the bottom
( i wonder, if i flip the container upside down... would it flow on top of the water?? )
pouring in live brine shrimpsssssssssssss
(d*** it, the hole is TOO BIG!! ) about 30% of them past through the holes!!!
oh, well, let it be for now...
let's place it inside to see how it goes...
it worked!
NOTE: i put the copperband fish in the sump, cause my Coral-Beauty have been chasing them around like crazy!!
BOTTOM LINE:
I think i need to find a smaller size mesh...
Mission accomplished but not perfect!!
This is the VIDEO to show it in action:
