Filtler Floss Options?

Hey, I have heard about people using types of pillow stuffing for filter floss or something like that? Can anyone tell me what else work good that is relatively cheap, since filter floss is somewhat pricey for the amount per box. Where would I get these other types of "floss" Thanks in advance

You get this in all crafts shops like Joann's, Ragshop etc. You also get it in Walmart.
