Anyone run a finnex titanium heater non thermostat version. Thinking of getting a 500 watt for my 225 gallon to replace a 300 watt jager.

I have one that goes to it's controller box.. I like it no problems.

had one and lost 2 aussie colonies in the first week i used it. POS was leaking massive voltage in my tank. immediately tossed it and went back to jager.

mine might of been just a bad egg but i would test for stray voltage when you switch over just incase.

Will do

I like my jager but the 300 watt is so long that it doesn't fit in my sump. So I had to put it in my overflow tower and I don't really like it in there.

Only issue I had was prior to getting my apex. The controller is came with was off 7 degrees.

One thing I have learned all heater will fail at some point. So never buy one heater. Always purchase two smaller heater. Instead of one 300 watt get two 200 or two 150

I have a 300w in my sump that works just fine with my apex but I have a stick on thermometer on the inside in the back just as a secondary.
