So - In my old tank one of the things I distinctly remember was opening my sump area after 2 fans stopped and smelling smoke. Turns out a few weeks of moisture and humidity in the sump area and all of a sudden my power strip shorted and blew up. I opened it and saw the rust/water damage/and green mildew that had grown all up inside of it. I got so scared that this could have burned down my house and worldly possessions that I was determined to do something. So I went to home depot.


Bought This.

Then I went to monoprice.com and bought lots of these heavy duty black and sturdy as heck

Installed all my electronics in here

Manifold

Well a while ago I posted about using a Mag18 as both my RETURN and to power a manifold. There were lots of differing opinions which I expected. Some said its inefficient and not powerful enough, head loss makes the mags weak, I should use 2 mags.. Well I didn't want to add another pump into my mix and I had some free time. I built this manifold running 3 1/2" Outlets. I'm powering 3 reactors and on full blast I can tumble media in all 3 without suffering turn over. The Resulting effect is that my overflows are a heck of a lot quieter because the MAG with its head loss now matches the overflows.
