Firefish is pregnant, anyone with experience??

I have some healthy livestock, so I am pesimistic about survival. However, they have creatd a really large bolt hole to hide in. Any chances for success?...or are my inhabitants gonna eat well?

Thats great news congrats.I know a few fellow reefers here have raised clowns and Im sure will chime in.Gd luck in raising the fry.And if ya can post pics that would be great

On second thought, with the overall lack of information out on firefish breeding I would defiantly take a log of how and what you are seeing during the process. Maybe it could help other breed them in the future.

Bad news!!! Came home today and she (the pregnant chick) was eaten in half. Right through her mid-section. What happened? Did someone sense her eggs and go after her? She never left her bolt hole. (not butthole) Anyway, now I have a widowed firefish...anyone lookin to rehome one???

I found my Fire shrimp munchin on her remains.....I really dont believe a Mantis. Though anything is possible. The Singapore Angel is really nasty and somewhat rude.

are we sure it was pregnant? without a pic we only can assume. Or it had some kind of bad swim bladder/gas issue.

You might want to take that dragon wrasse back like now. It will eat your firefish, all your shrimp and probably your jawfish.

Thats why I got a deal on him I believe. I will start looking to rehome him. It kinda sucks...I dig him and he is fun around the tank. Fortunately, right now he is only 2" or so. Anyone interested in a dragon wrasse????

Dragon wrasses are beautiful and cool. I have a 150 that would fit him and some fish that could use eating. Damsels.. o.o. I just hate that they do 1 thing. They move rocks. BOY to they move rocks.
