With a little help from photoshop you could move that wire so that it looks like a pet you have on a "dog" run! LOL! Great pictures. Cool bear. Would scare the dickens out of me! Bear fishing in the pond would be a TOTAL bummer. Hopefully they don't LIKE koi!

Two of my neighbors have ponds and at least one of them has koi. One time a bear ate a koi, but they are lazy and it doesn't happen that much. The bigger problem is blue herons which I think are better fishermen than the bears. My one neighbor keeps lengths of ceramic pipe in the bottom of the pond as "bird shelters," I don't think the bears can figure it out either. Our bears are so lazy that I keep them out of my garbage can with a simple bolt and wingnut, they could probably open the can if they wanted to but they just knock it over and when garbage doesn't fall out, they move on to the next house.

My thought about the dog run was not photoshop but some kind of giant snare to attach the bear to the dog run, and presto! my new pet bear friend! I bet if we fed it enough chicken pot pies it would be tame.
