How much $ will it be per person and how much will one get? Another question.... How long can food like this last in the freezer?

I can't say how much without having a total count because the costs would be divided equally. One batch would cost about $200 including shipping. So if we had 5 people, it would cost $40 per person. We'd get about 12lbs (maybe more) of food which would relate to 2.5 lbs of food per person. This should last a person with a decent bioload several months, if not longer. If you keep the food frozen, it should last a long time (just like any other frozen food in your freezer). Right now, I think we have enough folks to proceed with one batch. If I get a few more people signing on in the next few days, I'll simply double the purchases. It would bring the costs down a little because the shipping would now get distributed between more folks.

I'll be buying the salmon, shrimp, etc. locally but some of the ingredients such as the 16oz flats are still cheaper in large quantities from Drs. Foster and Smith, even with shipping included.

The food from Drs. F&S is in. I'll buy the fish and shrimp on Saturday. As of now, the following folks are in the buy:

Anybody else want in? The Fixin/Mixin will occur this weekend. Both Saturday or Sunday after 3pm are fine. As of now, the cooks are Erna (momof6kids)and myself. Any other volunteers?

Saturday seems better. Deadcpu will also join us. Anybody want to volunteer a location? We can bring several ziplock bags with us, make the food and then take it to our respective homes and freeze it.

Hi Dan,

Just thought I would put this out there if it is not to late. I remember reading not to use salmon. Something about it being to hig in fat or to much oil or something. If you did not live so far north I would also join in. BILL
