Fish losing color??

Last night my purple tang looked like it was losing color,almost like its pigments were falling off and he's swimming in circles..everyones eating and everything seems fine,except for the pueple tang...Thanks for any help/ideas

How late at night was it? Where the lights off? Sometimes when you wake fish up they look terrible (not a lot of color) Also what are you feeding?

Mine starts to turn whitish when they are stressed or water quality changed.

wasnt late lights were on- normal things,aside from his white appearance,and the powder blue and clown and hippo were fine( I use them as my early warning signs) But now I came home to find the purple tang just fine....really weird,it didnt look good yesterday at all...*whew* ???

Thanks John,me too but now its not eating...not out of the woods...er a water yet..lol

could it be stress...is it being bullied in the tank? Hope he pulls through!

How is your fish doing.Is he eating.If not try soaking some food in a garlic soak that usually does the trick.I had a problem with one of my tangs a few years ago now he is huge and doing great.Also do you soak your Nori in Vitamins High in Omega's.I recommend that for all tangs is to soak there food for extra added vitamins.

Thanks Rod, and yes he was by the others as/when he lost his color,but to date he is eating well and seems just fine now I dont soak any of the food for any of the fish,but I do put 4 differant algeas in the tank for all the tangs.Thanks for everyones help and ideas.

if you need some garlic flakes I have plenty and you are more then welcome to some, please don't hesitate, fish love them and it's great for them!

I see a lot of agression realted color swings in my freshwater fish, very natural to assume the same thing happens in salt...hope they all find their space!
