Fish trap ideas

I need to catch my puffer and hawkfish. Puffer is always iut and msy ve able to snag with a net while feeding. The hawk is in rocks and ventures out sometimes. Any ideas how to catch it/them?

I made one for my son that worked great with a box shaped plastic bottle. I cut one big side. I then I then cut the sides so the bottom was only held by the remaining side as a hinge. Float it in the tank and get the fish used to swimming into it to eat. Get them comfortable going all the way in then flip up the bottom and they’re caught. If I have another bottle at home I’ll make one quick and post a pic.

Just got home and found one of the bottles I like in recycling. Hold it just submerged from the cap. Put the food towards the cap. As soon as the fish is occupied eating flip up the end with your other hand and fish caught.
