Float Valve vs. Solenoid Switch

I'm trying to decide between a Float Valve and a Solenoid switch for my ATO water reservoir. I'm sure that they both work great but I'm having second thoughts on the float switch. The float switch input looks like it puts a lot of restriction on the output of the RO/DI unit. Where as the solenoid just opens and closes. What do you think? Which one do you prefer?

What are you going to use to control the solenoid? Something like and ATO float switch? I have both set up and they both seem to work very well knock on wood. The float valve is definitely a lot cheaper (like $20), whereas the solenoid will run you around $50 and the float switch will be about $60. For the price difference, I would recommend going with the float valve.

Yes, I will use an ATO to control the solenoid. My biggest concern about using a float valve, is the restriction that it will put on the output of the ro/di water. Won't this restriction cause more water to exit out to the drain (dirty water) from the RO/DI unit?

If you are using a ASOV (automatic shutoff valve) with a check valve on the waste side of your RODI, it shouldn't be a problem.
