I use one of the small bedrooms as an office. I have my tank where a desk would normally go, in a cubby hole. I also have a table I built and a few bookshelves and store a large chair in the room. Only one person can see the tank at a time from that chair (plus a grandchild), and you can only see it from the front.
Eventually I would like a larger one on the lower level, but that will have to wait. A peninsula tank would be considered.
 
yes in family room, but first try was a marriage stressing debacle. Take two is now with basement sump and DIY overflow, its really looks nice and quiet. It does have a bit of a distracting glow when the lights on but everyone has adjusted to that and they secretly find it very captivating without telling me

Absolutely Yes. Why in the new place it had to be as clean as possible. No HOB stuff or suspended ceiling lights. Not sure what the wife will say when I put the HOB fug up.
