hey guys. i'm looking for a 55 gal storage container for my RO/DI water. i put a post in the WTB forum but figured i would see if i could get some feedback here since there's more traffic. does anyone have any recommendations of where i can pick these up...in nj? most of the feedback on other forums seem to be in other states.

any info is appreciate.

thanks,
ryan

You don't want to use a 55 brute trash can?
I have been using them for years.
Or you could use a 55 fish tank I'm sure petco will be running a $1 gallon sale soon and that is included just a thought

i have the 55 gal brute. i'm looking for a different setup that i hopefully can link directly too my rodi right into the plumbing. those 55 gal white drums seem to be the best for what i'd like to do.

the tank isn't something feasible with the space.

You can go on dvrc and hit up jhutton he gets in white 55gallon food grade drums sells them for $35
He always has them hope that helps

thanks for the info. would you mind telling telling me what dvrc is? something reef central?

is that the one in flanders?

Not sure of all of their locations, the one in Allentown has them stock, and I think Flemington also has them. I got mine from tanksforless.com, took about a month to get but I was tight on space so I got square tall tanks (little dead space) as opposed to round ones. I think they are 24"x24"x about 48"?. But they have pre-installed bulk head and about 6-8" screw top to add salt/ or clean out.

If you have space and are looking for 55 gallon drums check out Craigslist, I picked up a couple 55 gallon ones for $20 each they were used for pharmaceutical purposes before but took up too much space so using them for soaking pool filters instead
