Frag a Leather

Just cut off a piece. I then stick a toothpick through the leather and now tie it to a small rock or frag plug using thin string. Some use a rubber band, but if the tension is not just right, it rips the leather. It takes about a week for the leather to attach.

Oh, one more thing...no glues will work with a leather...that's why it is tied to the rock/plug.

If you can remove it from the tank it's best. It does ooze some stuff when cut. Mine is so large now, I just reach in with a pair of scissors and snip.

When I used to have leathers I would snap a toothpick into an L shape and glue it to a frag plug so it sticks straight up let them dry and harden then I would slice a piece off with a scalpel or sizzors and just impale the frag with the toothpick
Here are some old pics I dug up

I did the rubberband method. I don't know if your are just doing this to make a small frag but you can also cut the whole top off the stalk and mount that and the stalk will grow a new head.
