Pondering the idea of setting up a frag tank.

Considering a 60 breeder over a 40 breeder as a sump/fuge.

anyone have any advice?
Thanks!

Smaller frags mostly, I'd go 50 gallon low boy with a 60 sump. Grow out, shuffling, organizing, inspection tank I'd do the 60 40. Thought a lot about this exact size setup plumbed upstairs to a Fowler tank.

I can’t even find the low boys.
Petco it’s be 159 for a 60/40 setup with their sale.
then need plumbing, overflow, return, skimmer. Thinking 250w Mh light for growth.

The best way to get a frag tank is buying a used system from someone.
The low boy need to be ordered by the LFS. Ocean gallery on rt 22 get them.
I also got one from will at aquatic obsession.

Thanks for that. I have been looking for used as that would be optimal. :)

Setting up multiple tanks makes reefing harder.
If you are able to setup one system with a display and a frag tank attached to that system. That is the easiest to maintain.

I'm open to negotiating - I need it gone pm me

tanks that are parted out sell faster. If you sell the lights and tank separate and then the pumps and return it will sell faster.
It’s very difficult to sell a whole system. Most people on these sites already have a tank setup so maybe they just need a ato or a skimmer.

if your goal is to sell faster then part out the system.
