FREAKS: well....WIRE NEAT FREAKS!

I am trying to look for options on cleaning up all my wires in my stand.  i've been using tubing from my car projects.  which help but i'd like a better option or more ideas how to get it down to EXTREMELY neat.

almost what i'm looking for GregW.

i want something a little cleaner. doesn't hide it as well. i'll probably go with the type of covers used for hiding tv cables.

I'd like to see this. Do you use the chrome or colored ones? ;D

lol. he said chrome. i use the normal black plastic tubing. the chrome would more than likely look horrible once the salt creep settles on it.

the tubing is extremely expensive though. like 6-7 bucks for about 3ft TUBE at auto zone. i need A LOT.

1 for Actnics
1 for moonlights
3 for fans
1 FOR SUMP light
1 for return
1 for Skimmer
1 for Reactors
2 for PHs

12 off the top of my head.

I used an american dj power panel and "mounted" it under the middle support bracket of my aga stand. Some people will mount it flush to the door panel.

I did it this way to make it easier to pull the plugs out if I needed to. Then I went and picked up a bunch of cheap cable ties and went nuts.

Probably the best thing I did was to move the sump (and associated equipment) out of the stand and into another room. I realize not everyone has this ability - but even if it's a small crawlspace - it will make the stand underneath that much neater.

Chad had a good idea in his thread build. He put a cabinet next to his stand and installed all kinds of outlets and switches in it. This might give you some other ideas to work with.

hawkeye. unfortunately, i dont have a seperate room or location i can put my sump too.

IT work helps with figuring out how to clean out the cables. i'll figure it out. i just need to find the right material i want to use.
