Fun trip to LFS

Besides the huge snails, also picked up a few more hermit crabs and a sandsifting starfish. For fish, we got a small royal gramma and a small timor wrasse. Both are hiding in the rock work and I can actually only spot one of them. Once the are acclimated to the tank I’ll get some pictures.

Also picked up some Nori, a magnetic nori feeder, rods food and some selcon. Tank is nice and clean now and time to enjoy the fish.

On rt 46 in Pine Brook. Up in Northern NJ. I think they are the best around here. There is Absolutely Fish in Clifton, which is probably 15-20 minutes away from this store. I think those two are the top rated around here.

I’m very picky and over analyze everything. Basically gave them a budget for the tank and had them order everything. I’m really happy with everything they picked. Had to go cheap on lighting to stay in budget but I will upgrade them next year.

Very knowledgeable and are not afraid to tell you no, even if it means losing a sale. As they know my setup, I was asking if I could get away with some frogspawn up close to the lights. Or if I bought a second light if it would work. He told me to save my money for real lights and then get the frogspawn. I’ve also heard him talk people out of getting fish that wouldn’t be compatible with the other fish in their tank.

Great to know. I will definitely visit it. Thanks

Sea level is a good store. Corals and fish are pretty healthy and the guys there are more than happy to make sure you leave confident you have the system to care for any livestock you buy. They also have a good deal on 200g instant ocean(35) and reef crystals(45). I was there today and left with a nice silvertip torch.

Sea Level.
I'm an old school punk, Maxwells, CBGB's, New Ritz, Knitting Factory, The Pipeline, 20 hours a week rotating through them in my misspent youth.
Store's name makes me think of Sweet Baby, they should adopt the tune...

I agree, great store. While shopping for frags there 2 weeks ago, I noticed they had a few innovative marine 20 and 14 gallon peninsula tanks there for $80 and $60, respectively. I could not pass up the deal and now I am working on my new build! lol
