Funny fish behavior

I just witnessed my Hippo going to my shrimp, and getting cleaned. Then it would shake like it was dancing or showing it was pleased. Run to the other side of the tank and eat some seaweed. Rinse and Repeat.

Anyone else observe funny behavior from their fish?

Just thought of another, as soon as I walk in the room my fish all hide except my clowns I've had for awhile.

Reversely as soon as my mom walks in the room all the fish swim right to the glass.

Thats actually how the fish get cleaned in the wild. Sometimes theyll do it in your tank too. Does your mom feed the fish more than you do? My fish go nuts when anyone goes behind the tank, cause they associate that with food

I had a sorta cool thing happen the other day. I was cleaning the glass with scraper and my naso was following the scraper around eating the algae as it floated away.

My angel also follows my 4 line wrasse around, guess they are both sorta purplish.

My flame angel swims with my clownfish. I guess they are all have orange color. Sometimes we look in our 30g and there will be 4 fish occuping the same 3 inches of water.

The only thing she does is come in my room and sit on my bed and watch them while I'm out. Other then that I am the one who sheds blood (literally) and works to keep these darn things fat and happy.

Did I mention I shed blood! don't ask me how, but I go a cut on my knuckle today when fixing a coral that my snails so politely knocked over.

I believe it, a lot of things in the tank can be sharp. Coraline, rock edges, corals etc. Thats why they make those long gloves. Real men dont wear those though! HAHAHA

Brandon...just watch that cut man....you can get a super nasty infection from the bacteria in our tanks!! It's called Mycobacterium Marinum. Just keep an eye on it.

+1. Also avoid your cleaner shrimp. . . i've learned from experiance that if I have cuts on my hands and reach into my tank, my cleaner shrimp will literally chase me around the tank trying to clean the cut.

Same thing! I have 2 cleaners, my first one is well behaved doesn't touch the corals or anything. The most recent one today after I spot fed my acans decided he was still hungry.

Mine do that all the time!! They steal food right out of the mouth of my Candy Cane coral!! Survival of the fittest!!
