I have a Galaxea (Galaxay) and I've had it for a bout a week...
I have noticed that the Flesh was been withering a way between each mouth...
It was under MH when I purchased it and on the bottom of the tank in a partly shaded area... so there was some dead areas on it..
My setup uses T5s
after noticing the flesh missing
I had moved it up higher in the tank and put some more flow on it
As suggested per a fellow Member (Brian)
Now last nite when the Lights are out I noticed my little green emerald crab eating the flesh between the mouthes..
So when I checked this morning the area he was in had the flesh removed...
Not to be misunderstood there is flesh and tenicales that are coming out of the mouthes and they are heathly even mouthes that were dead have new flesh coming out of their mouthes
So my question is:
Is the crab eating the dead flesh or is he just being a pest and eating the healthy flesh? I was thinking about trying to catch the little bugger and put him in my sump and see if the coral grows the flesh back..
The coral is actually healthly and fully expanded and there is flesh coming out of the mouthes (even the ones that were dead) it is just the flesh that has encrusted the exto- skeleton...
I'll try and post some Pics with a little more detail later..
Sorry to be sooo Long winded...
Thanks in advance for any replies!!!
