Galaxyhydro 12W LED Saltwater Aquarium Lighting

I got this new LED bulb in today, mainly just to give it a shot and see what happens. I don't currently have any lighting that would support coral growth, as I've just been working on keeping my water parameters stable and enjoying the few fish I have. But I figured for $20 and after reading all the good reviews on it, it was worth a shot. And in the long shot if it does work at all i figured it would be good to have as a back up once I do get proper lighting. It puts off pretty good light and has a nice shimmer to it, it doesn't provide a lot of coverage thought about a 12" circle.

So does anyone have a easy / hardy frag in the Brick area they'd be willing to let me use as test subject for this bulb?

I saw that light and looks like a good fit for small tanks.
I would have given you a Kenya tree frag when you were here yesterday if I knew.

One watt LED's have poor penetration. This might work as a refugium light, but not even close for what I believe is your 60 gallon DT...if standard, four feet long, and deep. Maybe if you ran a FOWLR with 3 or 4 of these it would work, but not for coral.

The 300W Mars Aqua is a quality low priced fixture that would work for your tank.
