I had my first White Castle around 1980 in North Arlington. My wife threw out the box last year because she thought it was trash. I'll miss them both.

It is all hype! You can get the same brand meat and cheese anywhere in tri-state area. It's not like that brand is from philly and can't leave there. Good chance the meats imported from somewhere anyway, all hype

I personally don't care if the meat's imported or not, and no, I'm not from Philly, but Alex is, and I had my fair share of Philly Cheese Steaks.
