Glass scraper

Can anybody give a suggestion for what they think is the best glass scraper out there? I have tough green algae growing on the glass. I currently use 2 flippers and to no avail. I also use a hand held metal blade made for the tank but even that has a hard time. I have a 180 bow front I'm just trying to avoid going swimming everytime. Thanks

I agree with that and I have done that in the past, I was hoping something new came out lol

One of the best buys I ever made was a Reef Gadget.....designed and built by a former NJRC member from South Jersey. Simple, elegant, inexpensive and very effective.....glued onto your MAG float. Unfortunately they are no longer available. However, I think similar devices are, so check the major retailers.

If you were handy you could easily knock this think out....off the shelf scraper from HD, two nylon bolts (also available from HD), and I think 1/16 acrylic.

The new Flipper from coralvue is what we have been using recently and it is pretty awesome. Keeps you dry and the razor on it can get off most if not all the algae.

I'm using the new Tunze one and I like it. It's a bit strange at first, but I like the fact that the magnet parts don't touch the glass on the inside. This reduces the chances of a scratch b/c of trapped sand. That and a magic eraser is all I have been using.

Magic eraser on the outside? I'll have to try that one

Yup works great inside. I split mine in half a few times to get more from one brick. First in half, getting 2 squares, then I split the square across the middle to get 2 squares. Each about 1/4 inch thick. I find there is no need for the thickness of the eraser the way it comes out of the box.
