Has anyone ever tried any of the glass scratch removers out recently. I see that Janvil is pretty well advertised but can not find any first hand reviews. Please let me know if you have tried anything out in the market that will remove minor glass scratched.

there are a couple types out there all are meant for surface scratches. the main problem with them is if they are on the inside as some of the chemicals used in the buffing process may not be safe for our tanks.

Is there something that I can use to "cleanse"my tank aftewords? I just bought a used Oceanic Tech 120 which has some scratches on the front panel that I want to fix.

There are kits available to remove scratches in glass. Here is an example of one for auto glass, but I don't see why you couldn't use it on an empty aquarium. (offsite) - http://www.caswellplating.com/buffs/glass.htm

Keep in mind that this stuff really makes a mess when your using it. It's best to do this outside. The abrasive is a very hard fine powder and you must take proper precautions with it. Do not breathe the dry powder and so on.

Also, this will remove only very fine scratches. If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, it's likely too deep to be completly removed by this method, but you may be able to make it less noticeable.
