Agreed, 1/4" plate glass is fine. Just make sure they run the edges through the machine to make them smooth. This way you don't cut yourself while working on it.

Does anyone using glass baffles do anything to act as "teeth" like you might cut into acrylic or do you have the flow just run over the baffle's edge?

I didn't use teeth in either of my sumps, just let the water flow over the glass.

I made teeth for mine. Figured it would help to keep cheato out of the pump section. Seems to work well. I just used a strip of 1/4" acrylic cut the teeth in and silicones it to the glass baffle.

You can see the algae has been caught...arrgg :mad:
