Glueing Zoas

Woke up this morning to find that my turbos wreaked some havoc on my rock work... So while rearranging the tank I found a single ZOA polyp had broken off in the process. Is there anything too glueing ZOA's to a piece of rubble rock? I searched around the forum a bit and from the looks of it see various different types of super glue gel and or epoxy being used for this type of thing. Just wondering what the best process would be to reattach this guy. Thanks in advance.

I just slap some glue down and place the zoa in there with twizzers and gently push down to make sure its in there. Had to do that recently to a few frags I got in

Thanks, sounds easy enough. Thinking that I may have too glue down my aquascape as well to avoid this from happening again.

I use Loctite super glue gel. Dry the bottom of the polyp and rubble with a paper towel, put a dab of glue on rubble and attach the polyp without getting glue on your fingers or tweezers. Use caution if you have any cuts and keep away from your eyes.

For securing rocks I like the epoxy putty sticks better.

some time too much glue with a too small piece of zoa would kill it.

i just thought of this: never tried before - it may worked?

- get a glass/plastic cup (for see through purpose)
- put in sands, then some small rubbles especially made them higher around on the side, lower in the middle
- drop the Zoa in the middle area
- wait few days, it should attache to one of the rubble by it own choice
- take that rubble out and glue it to a bigger rock... (glue would never need to touching the zoa with this process...)

We are big fan of IC gel. We grab the zoa frag and make sure you glue it the correct side down (make sure it can open), leave it in the air for a few second and then right into the tank. Low flow, let it set.
