Good Inexpensive Skimmer

People will kill me here but I had a Red Sea prizim skimmer on my 44 and it worked great. It is a HOB or can be used submersed, and is relatively inexpensive. But it takes some getting used to and a bit of dialing in. If you gonna have a sump and have the room bubble magus nac 3 & nac 3.5 can both be had for under $150 during a BRS group buy. Or another option for a HOB is the Aqua C Remoras there are several models at different prices.

Buy skimmer that is well known and don't be cheap on skimmer. This is one of the most critical piece of equipment in your tank. Before our members can suggest you, let them know more about you're such as total water volume,bioload, ,in sump skimmer or hang on back or external skimmer.
