Good or bad snail

I've noticed a couple of weird looking snails in my tank lately. Move to fast to get a pic. They have a small shell for the size of their bodies. The shell is flat and if you touch them they drop the shell. I usually find them under something. Any ideas?

look up stomatella...they tend to find their ways into reef tanks and breed prolifically...reef safe. Still not sure though since I've never heard of a snail dropping it's shell.

if you have enough abalone you could probably bring it to an asian market and sell it for a great price. I recall AqOb had one for $25 each. It was a beaut and supposedly a good algae eater.
