I had a shipment of LR once that had 5 or 6 of them in there...because my tank wasn't set up - it was just about finding the LR, and squirting some RO water in their hole. They pop out very fast though like centipedes. I gave mine away to a local reef club (this was before I moved to NJ).

bottle trap is probably the best way to go. You could put a small emerald crab in there as bait...lol - j/k. you must have been hearing a lot of "clicking" sounds from the tank all this time.

The freaking emerald crab either is really smart or the mantis sucked him out of the bottle...I would get the freakin mantis shrimp with a high IQ

LMAO! Good luck. When I had them they would come out at night hunting for snails and crabs. You could try to epoxy the hole he is coming out of - but more than likely he has an exit elsewhere.

maybe someone in the club starting up could give you theirs. When I started in this hobby i went with aquacultured LR from the atlantic and the stuff was infested with crabs. Every day I was catching one.
